I discovered Sheryl at the end of my first trimester and truly feel that she has been a partner in keeping me fit, healthy and sane during my pregnancy! She is incredibly knowledgeable about fitness overall and especially pre-natal fitness and I trust her 100%. I'm now 7 months pregnant and feel like I've maintained a level of fitness that I didn't think would be possible. I appreciate that our workouts are a combination of strength training and focusing on specific exercises that will benefit me both pre and postnatal- things I wouldn't have been aware of without her guidance. Sheryl is also a mom and has patiently answered my endless questions on the many things a first time mom-to-be like me wonders about. Thank you Sheryl for being such an important part of my pregnancy journey! You will only be sorry if you don't work with Sheryl!
I started looking for a trainer at the midpoint of my pregnancy because I was nervous working out alone since I didn't want to do anything that could injure me or my baby. I was so happy to find Sheryl! She really helped me to work out safely and stay in great shape through my pregnancy. I always looked forward to our workouts because she was so fun to be with and it was almost like hanging out with a friend who is helping me stay fit. Her knowledge of prenatal fitness and caring manner is invaluable to a nervous first time mom and I really appreciate everything she did to help me. Thanks Sheryl!
I am feeling strength in my core for the first time since before my first pregnancy more than 3 years ago (Rachel will be 3 in September)! So thank you!
I am a dance teacher and love to exercise. Therefore I was surprised after having two children that I had a diastasis recti and an umbilical hernia. I was given the go ahead by my doctor after both of my children to exercise as I normally would so I was not concerned. This included many exercises that I now know I should not have done and probably made my condition worse. Having never heard of diastasis recti I thought my muscles would just heal on their own with good habits. However they did not so I started to research the topic quite a bit. I felt like the more I researched the more confused I became. There was so much conflicting advice out there. When I finally came across Sheryl's website I felt like I could trust her. This is probably because she has been there herself and all of her information made sense. Since I live in MN I meet with her over Skype and she created a 6 week program for me. After the 6 weeks I definitely have noticeable changes in my body. I feel stronger, am able to move from my center more efficiently and I have the tools to continue to move forward. It is a great program!
I started hooping with Sheryl during the summer. I joined the class because hooping is a really fun fitness activity and I love that it also incorporates dance. Hooping feels more like playing than exercise so its a great alternative to the boredom of the gym. Also, while the weather was warm, Sheryl had the class outside which was really beautiful since here in NYC, it seems like we don't have the opportunity to be outside just for fun all that much. I bought my own travel hoop so I could practice and carry it easily on the subways. Once I learned the corkscrew up and down and could get the hoop on and off my body, it opened up a world of possibilities for fun and to add more dance elements to the hooping. I brought my hoop on vacation to Antigua and hooped by the beach. It was really fun and I received a lot of compliments!!! I really have a lot of fun hooping and would recommend this class to anyone who wants to get in a great workout. You won't be bored and you will love the benefits to your body!
