I first started seeing Sheryl after having twins and walking away with a very large diastasis. I meet with her in person every now and then, and also do her online training program. I tried a few other programs and exercises to improve my core strength but nothing has compared to Sheryl's approach. She made me truly understand what had happened to my abdominal muscles and how best to strengthen and use them - both during exercise and throughout the day. Sheryl takes personalization to the extreme. Her focused and thorough approach for each individual is astounding. The time, effort and energy she puts into each person - and his or her body - reflects her devotion to her clients and their progress. I never feel like I'm getting a "standard" work-out, I always get one that is tailored specifically to my body and my goals. She is always following up to inquire about certain exercises and how they felt and she likes to keep it interesting by adding variety to her programs. I can honestly say that although my stomach will never be the same after having full-term twins, my core has never been as strong as it is now. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Sheryl's kickboxing/boot camp class is great! I really enjoy the mix of kickboxing moves and bootamp with resistance bands, burpees, push-ups, etc... a variety of fun routines working your core and full body that definitely gives me an awesome workout while having fun! Sheryl motivates you and pushes you to your potential, but always mindful of each person's level and modifies when necessary. Love this class and cannot say enough about Sheryl!
I started working with Sheryl when I was pregnant. I have worked out my whole life, but when I was pregnant I felt like I didn't know how to work out effectively and safely. Sheryl was amazing! She is extremely knowledgable and knew how to push me just hard enough to keep me in shape, but still well within a safe range for a pregnant woman. She is so easy to talk to and I felt completely comfortable telling everything I was going through and was feeling, and she customized a workout for me based on what felt good and what didn't. Now that my daughter is born, I am excited to start working with Sheryl again. Hooping here I come!
I found Sheryl in my 6th month of pregnancy. I have been working out with her ever since, both in person and through her online program. Despite just having had a baby, I’ve never felt stronger. I attribute my easy labor and post-baby bounce-back and strength to Sheryl’s workouts and guidance. Sheryl can relate to the universal emotional aspects of being a new mom and the challenges that come with juggling more than one child and a full time job. She creates workouts that conform to the schedule of a busy mom. At the same time, she also understands the mindset of an athlete and can work with her clients to push themselves to safe but challenging levels. Furthermore, Sheryl commits to understanding the individual drivers of each of her clients. She expertly and nimbly creates workouts tailored to my personal level. They are challenging and entertaining and have been safe during the three phases: pregnancy, immediately following birth and postpartum. If you want to maximize your time and effort, and feel strong and fit throughout your childbearing years, I wholeheartedly recommend working out with Sheryl. She is patient and encouraging, has helped me to set realistic expectations and has helped me to feel good about my accomplishments.
I have a diastasis recti from my pregnancy with my daughter. At first, I told myself that it was just extra weight from the pregnancy; however, at my follow-up appointments, it became clear that I had lost all the weight from my pregnancy (and then some!). I couldn't figure out why I still looked like I was 6 months pregnant. I did a little research and saw my doctor, and learned that I have a diastasis recti. Unfortunately, I was also told that there was little or nothing I could do about this. This was extremely unwelcome news! By total coincidence, I got an email about Sheryl's Baby Belly Challenge about a week later. It sounded like it might be fun, and the person leading the challenge, Sheryl, sounded super nice, so I decided to participate. Sheryl was a great coach through the challenge, telling us about her own experiences with her diastasis and making herself available to answer questions and provide encouragement. After the challenge ended, I started working with her privately, both in person and online (via Skype). She created a program just for me to target the diastasis, and she makes changes based on my feedback. Every time I work with her, I feel encouraged and better about my body. This has been especially important for me -- I was so unhappy with the way I looked, and Sheryl was nothing but sympathetic and kind. I definitely recommend working with Sheryl -- she knows her stuff and she's one of the nicest people I've met!!
